Telford based Ingimex, has now been issued with type approval numbers for their N1 (up to 3.5t) range for Mercedes Sprinter chassis cabs.

Taking the route of “European Whole Vehicle” type approval rather than “National Small Series” approvals has made the task an ardous one but brings additional benefits to Ingimex customers. Managing Director Justin Gallen said “achieving European whole vehicle type approval means we can still provide our customers with our full range of Mercedes Sprinter Vans, Dropsides and Tippers with no implications to price or delivery. Being able to offer uniformity of supply to our customers is of great importance to Ingimex”.

Included in the scope of the Mercedes type approval are the popular optional modifications such as toolboxes, footsteps and grab handles but also the more complex modifications such as the tail-lifts. This means that customers can order the body and options that they require from Ingimex rather than having to deal with options fitted elsewhere, post registration.

Don’t forget! From the 29th April 2013 you will not be able to register your 3.5t chassis cab without a second stage certificate of conformity!
